Additional information

Acute Toxicity Acute toxicity studies of sufficient quality and performed with methods similar to or in accordance with OECD guidelines were available for oral, dermal and inhalation routes of exposure to MMP. The acute oral LD50 in rats was 193.6 mg/kg and therefore requires a classification of Category 3. The acute dermal LD50 in rabbits was 1903.7 mg/kg and therefore requires a classification of Category 4. The acute inhalation LC50s in rats were 1.8 mg/L/4h and 2.11 mg/L/4h. A conservative classification of Category 2 is required for inhalation of MMP.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Acute toxicity - Oral: Category 3

Acute toxicity - Dermal: Category 4

Acute toxicity - Inhalation: Category 2
