Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, toxicity testing on soil dwelling organisms and/or plants does not need to be conducted when direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. This is the case for DBPP and in addition the substance shows a low adsorptive (Koc <3) and a low bio-accumulative potential (see section 5.3). Therefore a relevant distribution into soil and a considerable exposure of soil dwelling organisms is not expected. Nevertheless, the Equilibrium Partitioning Method was used to assess the hazard to terrestrial organisms. As the outcome of the CSA indicates the substance can be safely used, further testing on soil dwelling organisms and/or plants is not deemed necessary.
