Description of key information

Experimental result: 71.78°C (extrapolated)
Handbook data: 73°C (CRC), 72.4°C (Merck index), 72.4°C (Dose), 71.1°C (Sax's), 72.4°C (Cond.Chem.Dict.)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
72.2 °C

Additional information

An experimental study was conducted, that can be related to the EC guideline, on the dehydrated substance (purity not specified). As the method (ebulliometer) was designed for the vapour pressure measurement, a series of values was obtained from 7725 to 100675 Pa. The normal boiling temperature was extrapolated from the linear regression of log P as a function of t.

Supporting litterature data from five handbooks are consistent with the previous result.

The retained value is the mean of the above values.
