Description of key information

Based on the flashpoint and the boiling point, trifluoroacetic acid is not classified as flammable. 
Moreover, based on its chemical structure and on experience in production or handling, trifluoroacetic acid is not considered as a pyrophoric liquid or as substance which, in contact with water, emits flammable gases.

Based on the above information and according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008, trifluoroacetic acid is NOT classified as flammable, pyrophoric liquid or substance which, in contact with water, emits flammable gases.
