Conclusion on classification

Based on the available data the test substance has to be classified as Aquatic Acute 1 (H400, M-factor: 10) and Aquatic Chronic 1 (H410, M-factor: 10) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP):

 

Overview of results used for Classification and Labelling:

The EC50 value of 0.024 mg/L in Lemna gibba (growth inhibition test) was used for the determination of the acute classification. Based on this value, the substance has to be classified as Aquatic Acute 1 (EC50 < 1 mg/L) with an M-factor of 10 (0.01 < EC50 ≤ 0.1).

The EC50 value of 0.024 mg/L in Lemna gibba (growth inhibition test) was used as well for the determination of the chronic classification. Lemna gibba is considered as the most sensitive species and is considered as short-term test only and thus, chronic data for this species are not available. Therefore, and due to the fact that the substance is not ready biodegradable the

worst-case approach was considered to classify the substance as well as Aquatic Chronic 1 with a M-factor of 10.
