Description of key information

The partition coefficient at 20 °C was determined to be -0.39 at pH 4, -3.96 at pH 7 and -3.97 at ph 10.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
-3.96
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

In the key study (BASF SE, 2001), the partition coefficient was determined at 20 °C by shake flask method according to OECD guideline 103 and EU method A.8. The partition coefficient is depending on pH-values. The log Pow was determined as -0.39 at buffer pH 4, -3.96 at buffer pH 7 and -3.97 at buffer pH10.

In a further study, the average octanol/water partition coefficient is reported as 1.3 at 22 °C according to EPA guidelines section 63-11.
