Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
other: The structure does not contain chemical groups that would ignite on contact with water or release flammable gases. In addition no ignition was observed in the water solubility test.

The substance melted and turned into a light yellow brown charred residue. Grey smoke was observed. After removal of the ignition source, no propagation of combustion of the substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed. According to the guidelines, performance of the burning rate test is not required. Based on the results obtained, the substance is considered ‘not highly flammable’.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Remarks:

Conclusions:
The substance is non-flammable.
Executive summary:

In a test according to EC guideline A.10, no propagation of combustion of the test item along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed. According to the guidelines, performance of the burning rate test is not required. Based on the results obtained, the test item isconsidered ‘not highly flammable’.

Description of key information

In a test according to EC guideline A.10, no propagation of combustion of the substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed.

In addition based on the molecular structure as well as experience in in handling and use shows that the substance has no pyrophoric properties or will be flammable in contct with water.
