Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex X, Column 2, 9.4 further studies on the effects on terrestrial organisms does not have to be conducted since the chemical safety assessment indicates that there is no need. Available data on aquatic and terrestrial toxicity suggest that the substance is not harmful to the aquatic and terrestrial environment at relevant concentrations. In particular, aquatic microorganisms did not indicate microorganisms to be susceptible to DPHA. Additionally, the substance is readily biodegradable by microorganisms and will therefore not persist in soil for an extended period of time. Hence, the risk the substance poses to terrestrial microorganisms is considered to be low and a study is not considered to be necessary.
