Additional information

A vapour pressure value of 52 Pa is reported in a collection of reliable data (DIPPR 2005) which has been subject to peer-review and in which the original data sources are traceable. The result is obtained by valid extrapolation of reliable set of data and has been assigned to be the key study. The result is also supported by an appropriate QSAR calculated value of 18 Pa (Reconsile 2009).

Other values reported in secondary sources, to which reliability could not be assigned. These are 133 Pa at 20°C and <500 Pa at 20°C

. Variations in the vapour pressure values may be caused by variations in purity of the test substance, and in the test method used.

The vapour pressure of the silanol hydrolysis product has been predicted to be 0.00025 Pa at 20 °C,using a validated QSAR prediction method. The result is considered to be reliable.
