Description of key information

Henry's Law Constant (25°C) = 79.3 Pa m3/mol

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The Henry's Law Constant of methyl octanoate (CAS No. 111-11-5) was experimentally determined, being 7.83 x 10E-04 atm m3/mol at 25 °C (equivalent to 79.3 Pa m3/mol)(Buttery et al., 1969). This value indicates that, once released into the environment, the substance has potential for partial evaporation from water surfaces into air.
