Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- General advice: Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
- Inhalation: Move out of dangerous area. Move to fresh air.
- Skin contact: Wash skin immediately with plenty of water and soap. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. In case of persistent skin irritation, consult a physician. If skin reactions occur, contact a physician. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
- Eye contact: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes. Remove contact lenses. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
- Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. In any case consult a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
- Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, foam or dry powder, Keep containers and surroundings cool with water spray.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards: Fire will produce dense black smoke containing hazardous combustion products (see section 10).
- Advice for firefighters:
Special protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear a positive-pressure supplied-air respirator with full facepiece. Use personal protective equipment.
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Personal precautions: Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
- Environmental precautions:
Environmental precautions: Do not allow into the sewerage system, surface waters or groundwater or into the soil.
- Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material. Use mechanical handling equipment.
Handling and storage
- Precautions for safe handling:
Advice on safe handling: Effective exhaust ventilation system. Keep package tightly closed when not in use. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and the inhalation of vapour.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
- Control parameters:
Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.
- (Environmental) Exposure controls:
General advice: Do not allow into the sewerage system, surface waters or groundwater or into the soil.
-(Human Heath) Exposure controls:
Respiratory protection: In the case of vapour formation use a respirator with an approved filter (ABEK-filter).
Hand protection: Natural Rubber; Glove thickness: 0,4 mm; Breakthrough time is not determined for the product. Change gloves often!; Do not wear leather gloves; Request information on glove permeation properties from the glove supplier; Chemical-resistant protective gloves according to DIN/EN 374 are recommended.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166
Body Protection: Wear suitable protective clothing.
Hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Stability and reactivity
- Reactivity: No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.
- Chemical stability: Stable at normal ambient temperature and pressure.
- Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Conditions to avoid: None known.
- Incompatible materials / materials to avoid: Oxidizing agents.
- Hazardous decomposition products: Smoke. Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Aldehydes. Sulphur oxides. Other hazardous decomposition products may be formed.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods:
- Product: Dispose in accordance with applicable international, national and local laws, ordinances and statutes.
- Contaminated packaging: Do not re-use empty containers.
