Description of key information

- Log Pow [estimated with computational approach (according to OECD Guideline 107 (EU Method A.8)]: 6.91 at 20°C [calculation based on the ratio of the (experimentally determined) solubility of the material in octanol and water];
- Log Pow (estimated with KOWWIN v1.68 by US EPA): 26.22.
For purpose of exposure assessment calculations, a logKow of 8.0 was taken into consideration, since this value represents the maximum valid log Pow value in the algorithm of EUSES or EU-TGD approach.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
8
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The partition coefficient of ‘Benzenesulfonic acid, di-C10-14-alkyl derivs., calcium salts’ was determined to be LogPow >6.91 at 20°C [estimated with computational approach according to OECD Guideline 107 (EU Method A.8) that was based on the ratio of the (experimentally determined) solubility of the material in octanol and water]. Moreover, the received result was confirmed by a QSAR estimated value: 26.22 (KOWWIN v1.68 by US EPA).

Finally, for purpose of exposure assessment calculations, a logKow of 8.0 was taken into consideration, since this value represents the maximum valid logKow value in the algorithm of EUSES or EU-TGD approach.
