Additional information

Strong bioaccumulation of Benzenesulfonic acid, di-C10-14-alkyl derivatives, calcium salts in aquatic organisms is unlikely based on the predicted partition coefficient (logPow) of > 8 and supporting information given by the QSAR prediction with BCFBAF v3.01, resulting in an aquatic BCF of 70.8 L/kg (Chemservice S.A., 2013). For substances exhibiting a logPow < 4.5 or > 6, no strong bioaccumulation is expected. Furthermore, an expert statement by Lubrizol Limited (2012) reveals that no accumulation in aquatic biota is expected for calcium sulfonates as well.

Information concerning terrestrial bioaccumulation is not required under REACH.
