Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice
No hazards which require special first aid measures.
Inhalation
Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of dust or fumes from overheating or combustion. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Skin contact
Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off with soap and plenty of water.
Eye contact
Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing.
Ingestion
Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do not give milk or alcoholic beverages. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
Alcohol-resistant foam
Dry chemical. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Unsuitable extinguishing media
High volume water jet
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information
Standard procedure for chemical fires.
Accidental release measures
Environmental precautions
No special environmental precautions required.
Methods for cleaning up
Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling
Advice on safe handling
For personal protection see section below. No special handling advice required. Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Storage
Requirements for storage areas and containers
Protect against light. Keep container tightly closed and dry.
