Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Toxicity to microorganisms: NOEC (respiration rate) is 1000 mg/L (according to OECD TG 209).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
1 000 mg/L

Additional information

The inhibition of the respiration of domestic activated sludge was tested according to OECD TG 209 (GLP, reliability 1). The test concentrations were far above the water solubility limit of the test substance. The activated sludge was exposed for 30 minutes and the respiration rate was measured. The NOEC was above 1000 mg/L of the tested material.
