Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
Experiments were performed on male mice. Physiological solution was perorally administered to control animals. Experimental groups of mice were given increasing doses (1-20 g/kg) of primary aliphatic alcohols: methanol, ethanol, propanol and butanol. In inter vals of 5 minutes to 24 hours, a myorelaxation effect was registered (revolving rod test), hypnotic effect (side position test) and an acute toxic (lethal) action of alcohols in experimental animals.
