Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No information on acute or chronic effects on birds is available. However, since the substance exhibits a low log Pow (see chapter 4.7), secondary poisening is unlikely to be a relevant exposure route.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In chapter R.10 of the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment (ECHA 2008, p. 42) concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), it is laid down that "the chemicals of concern with respect to secondary poisoning include lipophilic organic chemicals and some metal compounds". Since the substance exhibits a low log Pow (see chapter 4.7), secondary poisening is unlikely to be a relevant exposure route. Furthermore, substance has a low potential for adsorption or bioaccumulation and exhibits a very high solubility in water or soil moisture. Distribution modelling clearly shows the main target for environmental distribution will be water (see chapter 5.4.3). Therefore exposure of terrestrial organisms is unlikely.
