Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, Column 2, indicates that this assessment is only required if the stability of the substance is considered to be critical. 4VP is a reactive monomer and the substance is stabilized with a polymerisation inhibitor, such as hydroquinone. It reacts but does not hydrolyse. It is soluble in water and selected organic solvents.
