Conclusions:
The mean particle size, number in volume, of DPTU test item, is determined to be 15.87 µm (D(4.3)), with 38.8 % of particles presenting a diameter less than 10µm.
Executive summary:

A study was performed to investigate the particle size distribution (granulometry) on 3 batchs of the test substance DPTU (1,3-diphenyl-2-thiourea). The study was conducted according to ISO 13320- 1 “International standard for Laser Diffraction Measurements – Principles of Laser diffraction” and in accordance with OECD Test Guideline 110. The mean particle size, number in volume, of DPTU test item, is determined to be 15.87 µm (D(4.3)), with 38.8 % of particles presenting a diameter less than 10µm.
