Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Using an assessment factor of 1000 on the lowest E/LC50(algal growth inhibition) gives:

  • PNEC for the freshwater compartment is 0.0086 mg/l.
  • PNEC for marine water compartment is 0.00086 mg/l

Inhibition of microbial activity: (17hr) EC50 = 26.06 mg/l, NOEC = 5.20 mg/l.  Lowest PNEC by using assessment factor as specified in Table R.10-6 for for the EC50, PNEC STP is 2.61 mg/l

Sediment tests

No sediment studies are available. The PNEC is therefore derived by equilibrium partitioning method from the aquatic PNEC:

  • PNEC for the freshwater sediment compartment = 0.00732 mg/kg
  • PNEC for the marine water sediment compartment = 0.00732 mg/kg

Conclusion on classification

Based on the above information the substance is classified as N,R51/53 (Toxic to the aquatic environment. May cause long term adverse effects to the aquatic environment.)
