Individual results

Prior to the measurement the test item was disagglomerated through a sieve with a mesh size of 600 µm.

The median particle size L50 [D (v, 0.5): 50% of the particle volume or particle mass with lower particle diameter] deduced from these distributions are:

1st test series: L50 = 14.87 µm

2nd test series: L50 = 14.39 µm

Average of the mean particle size L50 is

                               L50 = 14.6 µm

The median particle size L10 [D (v, 0.1): 10% of the particle volume or particle mass with lower particle diameter] deduced from these distributions are:

1st test series: L10 = 1.06 µm

2nd test series: L10 = 1.04 µm

Average of the mean particle size L10 is

                               L10 = 1.0 µm

The median particle size L90 [D (v, 0.9): 90% of the particle volume or particle mass with lower particle diameter] deduced from these distributions are:

1st test series: L90 = 305.12 µm

2nd test series: L90 = 301.99 µm

Average of the mean particle size L90 is

                               L90 = 303.6 µm

The measurements showed two maxima (at approximately 6 µm and 300 µm) and two shoulders (at approximately 1 µm and 80 µm).

Final results

Particle size distribution of Triafamone (AE 1887196), technical substance:

The median particle size L50 of the test item deduced from the particle size distribution is 14.6 µm.

The median particle size L10 of the test item deduced from the particle size distribution is 1.0 µm.

The median particle size L90 of the test item deduced from the particle size distribution is 303.6 µm.

Description of key information

Technical grade:
Median particle size L50 = 14.6 µm
Median particle size L10 = 1.0 µm
Median particle size L90 = 303.6 µm

Additional information

The particle size distribution of the test item was determined by laser diffraction method according to CIPAC MT187 and ISO 13320-1.
