Description of key information

The water solubility of the reaction mass of ammonium sulphate and potassium sulfate and sodium sulphate is 540 g/L at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The key value of water solubility is taken from the experimental data of the reaction mass of ammonium sulphate and potassium sulfate and sodium sulphate (Beneo-Oraft, 2010). It is supported by several literature data for the constituents of this substance: Ammonium sulphate, sodium sulphate and potassium sulfate are all very soluble in water ( > 10000 mg/L). The solubility of ammonium sulphate, sodium sulphate and potassium sulfate is 767 g/L (HSDB, 2007), 281 g/L (CRC, 2005) and 120 g/L (CRC, 2005), respectively. Another study has been performed on the Reaction mass of ammonium sulphate and potassium sulfate and sodium sulphate determining a solubility range of 500 -600 g/L (Ajinomoto Foods Europe SAS, 2009).
