Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Inhalation: In case of persistent throat irritation or coughing: Seek medical attention and bring these instructions. Move into fresh air and keep at rest.
Ingestion: Immediately rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. Keep person under observation. If person becomes uncomfortable seek hospital and bring theseinstructions.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water.
Eye contact: Immediately flush with plenty of water for up to 15 minutes. Remove any contact lenses and open eyes wide apart. Get medical attention
promptly if symptoms occur after washing.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media: Extinguish with dry sand. Water spray. Foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Hazardous combustion products, Fire produces large volume of gases and toxic smoke.
Advice for firefighters: Protective equipment for fire-figthers, Self-contained breathing apparatus. Use air-supplied respirator, gloves and protective goggles.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: protective equipment and emergency procedures, avoid inhalation of dust, wear protective gloves and approved safety goggles.
Environmental precautions: Avoid dust formation.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Collect in containers and seal securely., avoid dust formation, sSweep up spilled substance and remove to safe place. Use respiratory equipment with particle filter, type P1.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Provide good ventilation, void spread of dust, avoid breathing dust.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Do not store near heat sources or expose to high temperatures. Protect from light, including direct sunrays. Strong alkalis.
