Based on the data above, methyldiacetoxyisopropoxy silane (CAS No. 329039-38-5) is considered to be moderately biodegradable and has low potential for bioaccumulation. The acute aquatic toxicity data available showed no (aquatic invertebrates) or only low toxicity (fish and algae) to aquatic organisms, being the lowest effect concentration EC50 (72 h) = 931.3 mg/L (Scenedesmus subspicatus). Considering this information, methyldiacetoxyisopropoxy silane does not need to be classified and labelled as environmental hazard according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP), Regulation (EC) No. 286/2011 (2nd ATP) and Directive 67/548/EEC.
