Based on the test results the 96-hour LC50 of 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanone for Zebrafish (Danio rerio) was determined to be higher than 100 mg test item/L based on nominal concentrations. The no observed effect concentration (NOEC) was determined to be 45 mg test item/L and the LOEC was determined to be 100 mg test item/L, both values also based on nominal concentrations.
a 96-h acute toxicity study, Zebrafish (Danio rerio) were exposed
to 3,3,5 -Trimehtylcyclohexanone at nominal concentrations of 0
(control), 4.3, 9.4, 21, 45, and 100 mg/L under static conditions.
96-h LC50was determined to be > 100 mg/L. The LOEC and NOEC
values, based on sublethal effects, were 100 and 45 mg/L, respectively.
Sublethal effects of apathy, dark colouration, tumbling during swimming
and fish mainly at the bottom were observed in the groups exposed to 100
mg/L after 2h until the end of the test.
on the results of this study, 3,3,5 -Trimehtylcyclohexanone would not be
classified as toxic to Danio rerio in accordance with the GHS
toxicity study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guideline
requirement for OECD 203 “Fish, Acute Toxicity Test”.
