Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Due to the physical nature of the test item, it was not possible to determine the vapor pressure of Sodium Glucoheptonate (EC 250-480-2) according to Method A4 Vapour Pressure of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 104 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 23 March 2006.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The vapour pressure could not be determined using the balance method or the isoteniscope method.

If it had been possible to measure the vapor pressure of the test item, it would be expected that the measured vapor pressure would be near to that of water (3.2 x 103 Pa), with the dissolved solid expected to reduce the vapor pressure slightly. It should also be noted that the vapor pressure of the dissolved solid compound (sodium D-glycero-D-gulo-heptonate) in its pure undissolved state has been determined under Harlan Study Number 41202961 to be 3.5 x 10-5Pa at 25 °C.
