Additional information

The short-term toxicity of phenoxyethyl acrylate to the fish ide, Leuciscus idus, was tested according to DIN 38 412 (L1 and L15). The method is similar to OECD Guideline 203, except that the species used is not directly recommended by the OECD Guideline. The fish is however considered relevant, as it is a widespread European freshwater fish of the cyprinid family.

The LC50 values were established to about 11.5 mg/l (48h) and 10.0 mg/l (72h and 96h).
