Description of key information

In a study performed to OECD 102, the mean melting point of the test sample Alpha-Methylcinnamaldehyde by DSC was determined to be 1.8°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
1.8 °C

Additional information

The test sample alpha-methylcinnamaldehyde was analysed in duplicate by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) using a TA Instruments DSC 2010 instrument and an aluminium crucible under a nitrogen purge in a study performed to OECD 102.

The mean melting point of the test sample, alpha-methylcinnamaldehyde was determined by DSC.
