Additional information

Acute toxicity studies are available for three trophic levels. The effect concentrations reported were a 96 hr LC50 of 1.2 mg/L for fish, a 48 hr EC50 of 9.9 mg/L for daphnia and a 72 hr EC50 of 14.8 mg/L for alga. The studies were conducted according to OECD guidelines 203, 202 and 201 for fish, daphnia and algae respectively and are considered reliable for assessment.

In a reliable study performed to OECD 209, the EC50 (3h) of Cyprinal to activated sludge was 366.18 mg/L.

Chronic studies were not conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable and so prolonged exposure would not occur.
