LC50 (96 h) > 100 mg/L (nominal) for Oncorhynchus mykiss (OECD 203)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One key study is available for 2-{2-chloro-4-mesyl-3-[(tetrahydrofuran-2-ylmethoxy)methyl]benzoyl}cyclohexane-1,3-dione, in which the short-term toxicity to fish was investigated. The study (M-446236-01-1; 2013) was conducted according to GLP and OECD guideline 203. In a limit test with a semi-static test system in freshwater, the test organism Oncorhynchus mykiss was exposed to a single nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. Analytical monitoring of the test item concentration was performed during this study and resulted in a mean measured value of 95 mg/L. Therefore results were based on nominal concentrations. No mortalities or any other adverse effects were observed under the conditions tested at a concentration of 100 mg/L, thus the LC50 for 96 hours was determined to be > 100 mg/L.
