Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

acute oral toxicity: LD50 > 5000 mg/kg bw
acute inhalation toxicity: 50 % of the animals died after a exposure of >= 30 min in a saturated test atmosphere of 3,5-dichlorphenyl isocyanate

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Acute toxicity: via oral route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
discriminating dose
Value:
7 000 mg/kg bw

Additional information

In an acute oral toxicity study in male and female rats a LD50 of > 7000 mg/kg bw was found. In an acute inhalation hazard test 50 % of the animals died after a exposure of >= 30 min in a saturated test atmosphere of 3,5-dichlorphenyl isocyanate No data for acute dermal toxicity were found.

Justification for classification or non-classification

For the acute inhalation toxicity T+, R26 is justified because 50 % of the animals died after a exposure of >= 30 min in a saturated test atmosphere of 3,5-dichlorphenyl isocyanate

The acute oral LD50 is > 7000 mg/kg bw, therefore a classification is not justified.
