Additional information

Even though there is no adaptation rules in Annex VIII, column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC n. 1907/2006), the hydrolysis is waived for Ca(H2PO2)2.

Hypophosphite ion has no hydrolysable group and therefore testing for hydrolysis is scientifically unjustified.

Calcium may react according to: Ca2+ + 2H2O -> Ca(OH)2 + 2H+

The study performed to analyse the dissociation constant demonstrates that the Calcium is stable as ion up to pH 12.6 and therefore any hydrolysis is unlikely.
