Additional information

A literature review was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. Seidell, 1941 (as cited in the Handbook of physical-chemical properties and environmental fate for organic chemicals) reports the water solubility of the test item to be 720 mg/L at 25 °C. Furthermore the GESTIS database reports the water solubility to be 500 mg/L at 20 °C and Deno & Berkheimer, 1960 (as cited in the Handbook of physical-chemical properties and environmental fate for organic chemicals) reports the water solubility to be 598 mg/L at 25 °C. All reported values are in the same range (100-1000 mg/L). Therefore the substance was regarded as moderately soluble. 720 mg/L was chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment as it was from the most reliable literature source.
