Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
212 °C

Additional information

A literature review was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (2008) reports the boiling point of the test item to be 212 °C at 1013.25 hPa. Furthermore the Data bank of environmental properties of chemicals form the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE, 2014) reports the boiling point to be 212.9 °C at 1013.25 hPa and the GESTIS Database (2014) reports the boiling point to be 213 °C at 1013.25 hPa. All available sources report the boiling point to be in the same range and were therefore regarded as reliable. The boiling point of 212 °C at 1013.25 hPa was chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment as it was from the most reliable literature source.
