Additional information

As the test item is miscible in any ratio in water and in n-octanol as well, the log Pow of the test item can not be estimated from the single solubilities in water and in n-octanol. The Pow of the test item cannot be determined according to the shake flask method (OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals 107), because the test item is a multi-component mixture (for characterisation see GLP-study no. 14L00292) and due to the fact that the test item was not detectable in the n-octanol phases (during non-GLP GC measurements). It was also not possible to measure the water phases via GC. During the pre-test a formation of an emulsion in the n-octanol phase was observed. For this reason a measurement for the surface tension were done (OECD 115). Result: 68.89 mN/m. So the test item is not surface active. The determination of the log Pow was carried out according to the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals 117 (HPLC-method).
