Description of key information

The water solubility of N-isopropyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine is 15 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
15 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

This result is to be considered with care as the substance hydrolyses rapidly with a half life of about 3.9 hours.

There are two reliable studies from Monsanto available. The study with the lower value (Monsanto, 1986) is chosen for supporting because it was performed within a hydrolysis study. Based on the purpose of the hydrolysis study the examination of the water solubility wasn't in line with the OECD Guideline 105 or other ones. Therefore the other study (Monsanto, 1978) is chosen for key study.
