Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

EU risk assessment report, p. 19, 3.1.3.2.2 Volatilisation:
The Henry’s law constant calculated to be 0.216 Pa/(m3*mol) refers to the undissociated form of PTBBA. For pH 7, the constant can be normalised with the same equation as used for normalising the Koc (logKoc = 0.60 logKow + 0.32). For pH 7, a Henry’s law constant of 5 * 10-4 Pa m-3 mol-1 results indicating very low volatility. Consequently, the air-water partitioning coefficient Kair-water is 2.11 * 10-7 (equation 22 of the Technical Guidance Document). For pH 5, a Henry’s law constant of 0.011 Pa m-3 mol-1 and airwater partitioning coefficient Kair-water of 4.6 10-6 were calculated.
