Description of key information

The rate constant kOH of 2.61 * 10-12 cm3 molecule-1 s-1 was calculated. Using this estimate, a pseudo first order rate constant for degradation in air is calculated (using EUSES 2.0): Kdegair = 0.113 d-1. This rate gives a half-life of 6.3 days for PTBBA in air.
