Description of key information

Data waiver based on exposure considerations:
EU risk assessment report of the substance (July 2009):
0 OVERALL RESULTS OF THE RISK ASSESSMENT (p. VII)
Environment
Conclusion (ii) There is at present no need for further information and/or testing and no need for risk reduction measures beyond those which are being applied already.
Conclusion (ii) applies for the intermediate processing site and use as resin modifier due to negligible emissions. The conclusion covers also the life-cycle stages of the use as stabiliser in PVC (manufacture of liquid mixed metal stabilisers, compounding
and conversion, service life and disposal) due to zero or low exposure. All the scenarios mentioned do not cause risks for the compartments water, sediment, waste water treatment plants, air and soil. In addition, conclusion (ii) applies to the marine
environment due to low exposure and as the substance does not meet the PBT-criteria. Bioaccumulation in the aquatic and terrestrial food chain is expected to be negligible. Consequently, no assessment of secondary poisoning was conducted.
Disregarded data (poor documentation): Daphnia magna reproduction test, according to OECD TG 202: 14 d-NOEC of 0.75 mg/l
