Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

EU risk assessment, p.19 (2009), 3.1.3.3 Accumulation and metabolism
MITI (1992) measured bioconcentration in Cyprinus carpio (TG OECD 305) with test concentrations of 0.5 mg l-1 and 0.05 mg l-1. Duration of exposure was 6 weeks, flow rate 200-800 ml min-1, temperature approximately 25 °C. The measured BCFs varied between 1.1 and < 4.6.
A BCF of 3.162 was calculated for ionic substances with a logKow < 5 using BCFWIN version 2.15. The method used by BCFWIN (Meylan et al., 1998) indicates that logBCF of such compounds varied in the training set between 0 and 1.
The pH corrected experimental logKow is 0.76 at pH 7. At pH of 6, logKow is 1.75, and at pH of 5, the logKow is 2.68.

Additional information

EU risk assessment, p.19 (2009), 3.1.3.3 Accumulation and metabolism:

According to the very low Koc in the environmentally relevant pH-range, no significant geoaccumulation is to be expected.
