Description of key information

The test product "Roxul 1000 fibers. Sample No FI990571 -00" was tested for acute toxic effects on juvenile zebra fish (Danio rerio) according to the OECD guideline for Testing of Chemicals No 203 " Fish Acute Toxicity Test". No mortality or behaviourall effects were observed during the test. The LC10and LC50 values are thus indicated as > 1.60 mg "Roxul 1000 fibers: sample No FI990571 -00" (>1000 mg/L). The study was performed on a Note q exonerated fibre according to Annex 1 Directive 67/548/EEC, but as any toxic effect of the fibre is expected to be of a mechanical nature due to the high stability of mineral fibres, the experimental result is considered valid for FMMVF fibres as well. The chemical composition for the tested fibre comply with the substance specification as defined in 67/548/EEC, as does FMMVF fibres
