Description of key information

The test substance did not induce acute toxicity to algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) at the highest tested dose level (1000 mg/L). Thus NOEL >= 1000 mg/L.This conclusion was made based on the GLP study, which was carried out in accordance with the procedures described in the OECD Test Guideline No. 201 ‘Freshwater Alga and Cyanobacteria, Growth inhibition Test’ 2006.03.23 and further specified in the ISO Standard 8692 ‘Water quality – Fresh water algae growth inhibition test with unicellular green algae’ –Second edition, 2004.10.01.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
1 000 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
1 000 mg/L

Additional information

It is shown that the test substance did not induce acute toxicity to algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) at the highest tested dose level (1000 mg/L). Thus NOEL >= 1000 mg/L.
