Long-term toxicity to fish

Description of key information

In Annex IX, column II (9.1) of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that a long-term toxicity test shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on fish.
The hazard assessment of Reaction mass of Propanamide, 2-hydroxy-N,N-dimethyl reveals that fish is comparatively sensitive to Daphnia (all 3 trophic levels have a EC50> 100 mg/l). Therefore, and for reasons of animal welfare, a long-term toxicity test in fish is not provided. Instead long term daphnia data are presented
