Conclusion on classification

Classification justification according to CLP/DSD

Based on the available data, Propanamide, 2-hydroxy-N,N-dimethyl- readily biodegradable and has low potential for bioaccumulation Log (Pow: -0.94). The short-term aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 are above 100 mg/L for fish, invertebrates and algae. Valid long-term toxicity data are only available for algae and daphnia showing an EC10 of > 100 mg/L and > 12 mg/l, respectively. Thus, the substance requires no classification and labelling according to the Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP) and the Regulation (EU) No. 286/2011 (2nd ATP) and Directive 67/548/EEC.
