Description of key information

The 21 d survival LC50 value of the test substance (nominal) was determined to be 16.3 mg/L. 21 d reproduction EC50 and NOEC values of the test substance (nominal) were determined to be 14.4 and 4 mg/L, respectively.  21 d length at survival EC50 and NOEC values of the test substance (nominal) were determined to be > 32 and 16 mg/L, respectively.

Additional information

A study was performed to assess the prolonged toxicity of test substance to Daphnia magna under semi-static conditions at a temperature of 20 ± 1 °C. The study was conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 202 Part II.

Daphnids were exposed to nominal test concentration of 0, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, 8.0, 16, 32, 64 and 128 mg/L of test substance dissolved in water for 21 d. Observations were made on the immobilisation rate, mortality rate, body length of survival and reproduction.

The measured concentrations ranged from 89 to 110 % of the nominal concentrations. On the basis of this analysis the results quoted are based on the nominal exposure concentrations of the test substance. The reproduction EC50 and NOEC values obtained were 14.4 and 4 mg/L respectively for 21 d exposure period. The length of time of appearance of the first brood was 8 d. The values obtained were based on the nominal concentrations of test substance. The mean measured concentration of the test material ranged from 89 to 110 % of the nominal value.
