Description of key information

The test substance is classified as non flammable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

A study was performed to determine the flammability of test substance according to EU Method A.10.

Air rich bunsen burner flame was used as source of ignition. In each of six tests, the test substance did not ignite and did not propagate combustion along the train.

The test substance did not propagate combustion and therefore is not classified as highly flammable solid in terms of its burning characteristics (Harper DJ, 1991). No classification is required for flammability according to EC criteria (67/548/EEC) and according to CLP criteria (EC 1272/2008).

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification is required for flammability according to EC criteria (67/548/EEC) and according to CLP criteria (EC 1272/2008).
