Description of key information

From the assessment of the chemical structure it was established that the test substance, MTF, would not have oxidising properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:

Additional information

An assessment of the oxidising properties of MTF was conducted as part of a package of physico-chemical testing (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2013, Study number VHJ0040). The testing was conducted in compliance with GLP, and the oxidising properties assessment was performed according to EC Guideline method A21.

Justification for classification or non-classification

MTF was concluded not to have oxidising properties on the basis of the chemical structure. On this basis, classification for oxidising properties is not applicable under either the CLP regulation (Regulation (EC)1272/2008) or the Dangerous Substances Directive (67/548/EEC).
