Description of key information

The Flammability of Coconut shell charcoal has been determined according to Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Annex, part A.10 and Norit H.W.A..8.3.2.22. 
Coconut shell charcoal could be ignited, but extinguished without significant spread. It was found to be not a Flammable substance

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

In the screening test, the material could be ignited but the glowing area extinguished, with virtually no spread. The sample was therefore concluded to have a Burning Class behaviour of 3.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As a result of this negative screening test, further testing was not needed. The material is not to be Classified regarding flammability.
