Description of key information

Zirconium is an odourless metal, only present in solid state at 20°C and 101.3 kPa: powder, shot, sponge.
Zirconium is either bluish-black when in powder form or grayish-white lustrous metal (platelets or flakes) of hexagonal lattice below 865°C ( α form)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
solid

Additional information

Based on two peer-reviewed data, Zirconium is an odourless metal, only present in solid state at 20°C and 101,3 kPa: powder, shot, sponge.

Zirconium is either bluish-black when in powder form or grayish-white lustrous metal (platelets or flakes) of hexagonal lattice below 865° C ( α form); body-centered cubic above 865 °C, this form is instable.
