Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental studies investigating the adsorption/desorption potential of triacetin (CAS 102-76-1) are available. Thus, the adsorption/desorption potential was calculated using KOCWIN v2.00 (Müller, 2013). Calculations with KOCWIN v2.00 resulted in a log Koc of 1.61 (MCI), indicating that the substance has a low potential to adsorb to organic soil and sediment particles. Based on this result, it can be concluded that triacetin has a low potential for adsorption.
